Do I need to install remote software?
Only after your request is reviewed, a session is confirmed, and you approve the connection. Instructions identify the legitimate tool and explain how you can terminate access.
What if the issue is hardware?
Remote checks may identify likely hardware symptoms, but physical repair requires a separate evaluation. Eligible mail-in work is quoted before shipping or repair.
Can you work on a printer or router?
Often, yes—for setup, drivers, print queues, Wi-Fi configuration, and common device connections. Mechanical failures, ISP line problems, and managed business networks may need another provider.
What happens if the issue cannot be fixed?
You receive a summary of what was attempted, what was learned, and the recommended next step. Payment and refund treatment follows the scope and policy confirmed before work begins.
How are extra minutes billed?
Extra time is not automatic. If continuing could help, work pauses while the additional scope, time, and price are explained. You decide whether to continue.
What data do you access?
Only what is reasonably needed for the approved task. PC Techies does not retain your passwords. Do not submit passwords, recovery keys, financial details, or sensitive documents in the web form.
Is the request form a booking?
No. The form asks for a human review. Availability, scope, price, and next steps are confirmed separately before an appointment or payment.
Are you the manufacturer?
No. PC Techies is an independent service provider. References to Windows, Office, printer brands, router brands, or other products describe compatibility and do not imply affiliation or endorsement.
